When you know that you're expecting a sweet little addition into your family, you're bound to start thinking of everything you want and need to get for your little one.  And while all that shopping is very exciting, at the same time you probably start to worry about the endless credit card bill that you're racking up.  But the good news is that you don't have to spend endless amounts of money in order to furnish your baby's room.  In fact, you can put together a beautiful nursery that's both safe and practical without spending a lot of money at all.

First of all, think multi-functional.  You don't have to get a changing table in addition to a dresser.  Instead, you can choose from the many changing tables on the market that also function as a dresser.  Make sure to look for one that has a lot of drawers that are a practical size.  Note that for safety reasons, changing tables are rather deep-- more so than a regular dresser-- so a drawer doesn't need to be as wide as it usually would in order to hold as much.  Some changing tables even, Nursery Furniture, come with a little closet on the bottom where you can hang your child's clothes once he or she is a little older.

Another great way to save on your baby's furniture is to look for floor model's for sale.  These are often considerably less expensive than the same furniture that's never been out on the showroom, and is often in excellent condition.

Choosing cheap baby furniture will help keep the expenses of a new baby to a minimum. And if you learn how to keep an eye out for bargains now, you'll be able to save money a few years down the road when your baby outgrows the crib and it's time to shop for some childrens furniture.
